CORDOVA, Ill. (June 19, 2018) – The 32nd annual Original Super Chevy Show is back and better than ever in its return to Cordova International Raceway (CIR), Cordova, Ill., Saturday, July 7, 2018.

The 32nd annual Original Super Chevy Show is the premier destination for all things Chevrolet and you won’t want to miss a minute of the excitement when the tour comes the Quad Cities metro area.

General admission tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for children 6-12. Children under 5 are admitted free. Gates open at 9 a.m., with the car and truck show taking place from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Timed runs on the drag strip start at 10 a.m. with the pro show starting at 6 p.m.

“The Super Chevy Show at CIR is a celebration of an iconic American brand and a fun family-friendly event,” Cordova International Raceway President Dominic Blasco said. “It’s an opportunity to see classic and modern vehicles ranging from pickup trucks to high-performance Chevrolets. The exciting drag racing, swap meet, performance marketplace, great food and drinks, and other entertainment, make it the perfect way for any car enthusiast or family to spend the weekend.”

There will be an exciting Box vs. No Box combo drag race. The race sees Box competitors who use the assistance of electronic devices on their car square off against No Box competitors who do not use the assistance of electronic devices on their car. The winner of the race will receive $1,500 while the runner-up will take home $750. There will be a $75 entry fee at the gate.

In addition, there is a swap meet where you can find those hard to locate parts, a Chevrolet-focused performance marketplace and the largest collection of Chevrolet vehicles in one place from classics to modern, all looking to take home the best-in-class award. All car show winners will take a parade lap down the drag strip at 4 p.m.

Some of the featured pro cars on hand will be the Chicago Wise Guys, Nostalgia Pro Stocks, Nostalgia Gassers, Pro Mods, Ozark Mountain Super Shifters, Chicagoland Super Stocks, and Wheel Standers.
